Hand-fired: six generations of craftsmanship

The distillery is located in the Alte Propstei Erbendorf, a former monastery and vicarage with a rich history. It is the oldest whisky distillery in Germany and here Stonewood Whiskies, Kaiser Hill 16 Gin, Schraml fruit brandies and liqueurs are produced in what is now the 6th generation. The charm of the old estate, the whisky warehouse with its wooden barrels, the distillery in the old coach house, the vaults and finally the craft of the distillery speak for themselves.

The spectrum of the Schraml family's craft is a reflection of the experience and handing down of a 200-year distilling tradition, which is renewed and expanded in every generation through training and a wealth of ideas. All products have one thing in common: they are conceived and produced with care and dedication and are in line with the philosophy - to always give the best while remaining true to oneself. From the selection of raw materials to fermentation, distillation and bottling. Connoisseurs can taste that the skill is made up of traditional family knowledge, craftsmanship, the courage to innovate and a pinch of stubbornness.
