The production follows traditional methods and is based on original family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.

The Story behind the product
At the instigation of Cabaret Bizarre, the absinthe Bizarre was developed and produced by the well-travelled distiller Jean-Jacques Charrère in Val-de-Travers. After five years, he stopped production and SCD passed the recipe on to Philippe Martin, the son of the renowned former moonlighter, Francis Martin. There, in Boveresse in the Val-de-Travers, Absinthe Bizarre is now being produced on behalf of SWISS CRAFT DISTILLERS GmbH.
Cabaret Bizarre is characterised by freedom of expression, sexuality and fantasy, Cabaret Bizarre was originally inspired by Federico Fellini and Bertolt Brecht to create an old-fashioned carnival, a wonderland, a dark dreamland where amazing personal adventures are made possible.

It started in 2011 with the cooperation between us and the only authentic absinthe bar in Switzerland, the Grünen Fee in Solothurn, with which we did pioneering work for the revival of absinthe culture. WE ARE your partner for authentic Swiss absinthe from the Val-de-Travers. WE ARE developers and mediators of absinthe culture and a hub between the Val-de-Travers and absinthe lovers from all over the world.
Preserving the authenticity and originality of Swiss absinthes is important to us. Our products are distilled from 100% natural ingredients in sustainable processes and by hand by former moonshiner families from the Val-de-Travers. The work is just as sophisticated today as it was in the past and the enthusiasm and love for absinthe is also unchanged. Products that are carefully and locally made and always presented in style.
