EXPERIENCE THE ART OF DISTILLATION
In 2012, I, Hans-Jürgen Filp, crafted my own whisky, inspired by my Swabian roots and the Singold river. Since then, I've been distilling Single Malts and other premium spirits under the SinGold brand.
Visitors to SinGold can expect to discover a restaurant featuring an open show kitchen, a roastery for the coffee enthusiasts, and a selection of cigars from exotic countries such as Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
It's not merely about sampling splendid spirits, but rather, embarking on a complete sensory journey.

CRAFTING SPIRITS FROM LOCAL RESSOURCES
The interplay of climate, water, and soil varies from place to place. This is what makes SINGOLD Whisky and its raw materials as unique as the region from which it originates.
Right on our doorstep, in the catchment area of the Singold, Lech, and Wertach rivers, grows the brewing barley that takes a detour to be malted in Bamberg before returning to the local mash tun. There, it meets carefully controlled and in-house filtered water, drawn from a deep well in the adjacent Western Forests nature reserve.
Regionality allows Singold Distillery optimal control over the entire manufacturing process and contributes to the individual character of the whisky.
The love of Scottish tradition is alive in SinGold Whisky's production where the unrefined mash, the full grain, is distilled. This is done in a custom-made system from the renowned manufacturer Arnold Hostein, using the elaborate pot-still process.
Distilled four times, and without redistillation of foreshots and feints, brings the clear distillate to perfection. It's all about handicraft and quality at the SINGOLD DISTILLERY.


NATURE'S WORK - THE ART OF MATURATION
The Foehn, a notorious wind weather phenomenon of the Alpine region, brings a mild but changeable climate to the Singold Distillery. Here, it's warm in winter, chilly in spring, dry in summer, and with dense fog over the wide Lech plain for weeks in autumn.
In the open structure of the cask storage, Singold Whisky is exposed to the changing weather conditions and temperatures, almost directly. Here, the cask breathes on the shelves, and the whisky matures until it is bottled.
The final product remains as it is - unfiltered and uncoloured, a pure first-class whisky.
